WRN’s recommendations for women’s rights at the UN

You may have seen on social media that as part of the Universal Periodic Review at the United Nations, organisations submit their recommendations to countries on human rights.

There are then pre-sessions prior to the main Session. It’s the UK’s turn as part of the 41st Session.

We at WRN, along with LVW, as Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), submitted recommendations to advocate for and ensure women’s rights in the UK. This included recommendations that the Equality Act 2010 is properly understood and followed.

Whilst we can’t be there in person this time, we’ll definitely be there at the next round. And we’re monitoring the situation in the meantime.

If you have expertise in this area and are a member of WRN, or wish to join, do let us know.
