STOP PUBERTY BLOCKERS TRIAL
Please ask your MP to take action!
No child is born in the wrong body.
WRN and our members cannot believe that we are back to square one, with NHS England backing an experimental trial of puberty blockers on healthy, vulnerable children, ignoring the damage already done.
The primary rule of medicine is "do no harm". This trial is activist ideology masquerading as research.
We urge MPs of all parties to call on Wes Streeting to step in and stop this trial before more damage is done to children who are too young to understand what they are doing to themselves.

Dear [Your MP's Name],
I wish to convey my extreme concern about the proposed NHS puberty blocker trial to be conducted on 226 children aged from 10 to 15-years-old.
That the exact number of children who have already been prescribed puberty blockers is unknown due to inconsistent data practices (as noted in the Cass Review) should trouble us all. However, publicly available data suggests that the Tavistock’s GIDS clinic prescribed puberty blockers to between 1,000 and 1,200 children from 2011 to 2023.
This is a sizeable cohort, and their outcomes must be followed up and assessed before another cohort of children are given these irreversible drugs that are known to adversely impact brain and bone development.
Please ask the Secretary of State for Health, Wes Streeting, to stop this ill-considered trial.
Thank you
